.LDS provides a new virtual community for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, or the LDS Church, the fourth largest Christian denomination in the United States. As an extension of the church, .LDS will provide members of its community with a new domain namespace for forming online support communities, planning missions and events, or explaining the missions and beliefs of the LDS Church. .LDS can be registered by any person, group, or church affiliated with the LDS Church.
